HuaSheng Rubber plans to invest in and build a tire factory in Phnom Penh
May 09, 2026

According to recent media reports, Huasheng Rubber is planning to build a new tire plant in Phnom Penh, but has not disclosed many details yet. In recent years, many Chinese tire companies have chosen Phnom Penh as their “going global” destination, making Phnom Penh an emerging hub for Chinese tire enterprises.

In addition to labor costs and raw material prices, Phnom Penh's relatively low level of economic development means that many countries and regions have granted it MFN/GSP (Most-Favored-Nation/Generalized System of Preferences) treatment, including the United States. U.S. tire import data shows that Phnom Penh has already become an important tire export country for the United States.

Shandong Huasheng Rubber Group was established in 1983. Over the past 30 years, Huasheng Rubber has grown steadily at an average annual compound growth rate of 18%, and has developed into an international, modern global tire enterprise group with total assets exceeding 5 billion yuan.

Huasheng Rubber Group has now formed an integrated rubber ecosystem that combines high-end passenger car tires, high-end truck and SUV tires, run-flat tires, engineering tires, conveyor belts, PVC hoses, tire production raw material cultivation, and import-export trade. Its business covers more than 30 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions in China, as well as more than 150 countries and regions around the world. Its product brands include ROADBOSS, KAPSEN, HABILEAD, HUASHENG, DURUN, and TT.

Huasheng Rubber has an annual production capacity of 6.5 million commercial vehicle tires, 24 million passenger car tires, 20 million square meters of high-performance conveyor belts, and 10 million meters of rubber hose. Among them, the products sold include 8 major series/over 380 specifications for commercial vehicles and 7 major series/over 1,100 specifications for passenger vehicles, with products sold in more than 160 countries and regions worldwide. To seize the technological high ground in the tire industry, the Group has established a full-process R&D system ranging from market research, product planning, formulation design, structural design, process development, and product validation, giving it independent R&D capabilities for a full range of tire products.
