Huasheng Rubber plans to invest in a tire factory in Cambodia
May 09, 2026

According to media reports recently, Huasheng Rubber is planning to build a new tire factory in Phnom Penh, but has not disclosed many details. In recent years, many Chinese tire companies have chosen Phnom Penh as their “going global” destination, and Phnom Penh has become a new hotspot for Chinese tire enterprises.

In addition to labor and raw material costs, Cambodia’s relatively low level of economic development has also entitled it to MFN/GSP (Most-Favored-Nation/Generalized System of Preferences) treatment from many countries and regions, including the United States. U.S. tire import data shows that Cambodia has become an important tire export country to the United States.

Founded in 1983, Shandong Huasheng Rubber Group has grown steadily and healthily over the past 30 years at a compound annual growth rate of 18%, and has developed into an international modern tire group with total assets exceeding 5 billion yuan and ranking among the world’s top 50 tire enterprises.

Huasheng Rubber Group has now formed an integrated rubber ecosystem covering high-end passenger car tires, high-end sedan and SUV tires, run-flat tires, engineering tires, conveyor belts, PVC hoses, tire production raw material planting and import-export trade. Its business areas cover more than 30 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in China, and more than 150 countries and regions worldwide. Its product brands include ROADBOSS, KAPSEN, HABILEAD, HUASHENG, DURUN, and TT.

Huasheng Rubber has an annual production capacity of 6.5 million commercial vehicle tires, 24 million passenger vehicle tires, 20 million square meters of high-performance conveyor belts, and 10 million meters of rubber hoses; among them, the commercial vehicle products for production and sales cover 8 major series / more than 380 specifications, and the passenger vehicle products cover 7 major series / more than 1100 specifications, with products sold in more than 160 countries and regions around the world. To seize the high ground of technology in the tire industry, the Group has built a full-process R&D system ranging from market research, product planning, formula design, structural design, process development and formulation to product verification, with independent R&D capabilities for a full range of tire products.
